Annabella Milbanke was born on May 17, 1792. She died on May 16, 1860 because of breast cancer at the age of 67. Annabella Milbanke's nickname "Princess of Parallelograms" was given to her by her husband Lord Byron because she of her love for mathmatics. She had a daughter named Ada Lovelace who also died of cancer on November 27, 1852.

~The length of Tennessee is about 440miles and the width is about 120miles. Applying the area formula for a parallelogram, Tennessee's estimated area would be 52,800miles. The actual area of Tennessee is 42,146miles. The estimated area compared to the actual area is 10,654miles off.

~The reason the area formula for a parallelogram is the same for a rectangle and/or square is, as we saw in class, a parallelogram cut at a certain angle creates a square or rectangle. Thus, we can apply A=bxh to a parallelogram's dimensions.

In chapter 10, in have learned so far, the definition of secant and the theorems 10.3, 10.4, and 10.5! What I did not understand was how to find a side or arch of a circle when only one side is present.
